Find a Free Poetry Site

Most poetry sites are free so if you search for a poetry site and its not free then I suggest you keep looking. I have seen several poetry sites that are not designed for the poets best interest instead they are designed to market to the poet. Lets face it most poets are doing their poetry as a hobby and it is hard to always find the time to post and create poems let alone be bombarded by their own site trying to sell them books and etc...

So search and find a site your happy with and post your poems. Check out poetryscriber and maybe you will call that site I designed home and maybe you wont. The best place to write poetry is at the place that makes you feel more compfortable and gives or supplies you the right tools you need to write to the best of your ability. Some of the tools you may need and definetly come in to play are a Thesaurus, Dictionary, and a Poetry Rhyming Dictionary.

Find a site which has tools for a poet to write. I created poetryscriber just so I would have the tools I need to write poetry and with time it keeps getting better and better. I may in the future ask for donations but for now the bills on me and Im doing what I love, "Writing poetry and making friends who have the same poetic interests as I do".

Poetry Scriber is free for everyone. To visit my site go to my work in progress and feel free to check it out, and it is all free. The only thing I may have to bill for is the audio poetry Im adding do to the high cost of audio bandwidth, but this is optional. The rest of the site is completely free and there is no credit card needed to write to your hearts content.

To Write is to Exhist, To read is to Grow

From love poetry which everyone sooner or later writes unitl they have children, then start writing child poetry or Teen poetry to reflect their growing kids.

What I like is when their kids poetry is diplayed on the refrigerator, a birth of a new poet. Poetry writing is something that blossoms with time as do the type of poems we write.

When I was younger I made my first book of poetry which at the time didnt have any romantic poetry in it whatsoever. I wrote more optimistically and inspirational, Poetry had a way of just flowing from my mind and through my hand to the paper.

As a teenager I wrote Dark Poetry, black and Grim, rarely funny, poetry though still flowed but with a different emotional mind set. Personally after years of writing poetry, I have done at all from rhyming poetry to Haiku poetry.

Ive even started writing Myspace poetry and have become quite the Myspace poet. My "poetry publishing Self " has written all over the web and I still cant get enough of it.

What is amazing is when I write an erotic poem and then five seconds later write a christian poem. Somehow it doesnt feel right but at the same time I feel I have to create whatever my mind is ready to produce.

Myspace poems tend to be more written as friendship poems probably because of the amount of friends I have there. I really dont choose a poetry type it chooses me and I just write whats there. I have only feelings to share with words, not even taught any poetry terms or many of the styles that are available. Either way my poetry is magnetic so I go to the poetry slams and throw some words out there and the poetry wars are on.

If you like to write dont write to have famous poetry, a masterpiece, write because you love it, it inspires you and you want and need to do it. Poetry is free, its a gift to give the world, friends and loved ones.

Good Luck and have fun Writing
